Parents and Guardians

Applications for Camp Sojourner 2012 are available starting January 15. You can download New Camper and Returning Camper applications here, or call the camp office and request an application be mailed to you (215-951-0330 x2180).

Our camp session this summer will run from Monday, July 30 through Saturday, August 4. Camper bus will depart from the camp office at 48th and Baltimore, leaving Philadelphia at 8:30am on Monday, July 30 and returning at 5:00pm on Saturday, August 4. Camp tuition is on a sliding scale from $200 to $500, depending on family size and income.   Some scholarships are available.

For girls attending camp, a Camp Health Form must be completed each year, and signed by a doctor within two years of camp dates.  If your daughter has had a physical in the past two years, you can attach the paperwork from that examination but we still need you to complete the first three pages of our health form.  It can be downloaded here, or we can send you a copy.

Girls

If you are between the ages of 8 and 14, you are invited to be part of Camp Sojourner, Girls’ Leadership Camp! Applications are available starting January 15 for Camp Sojourner 2012. Download a New Camper or a Returning Camper application and show it to your parent or guardian, to see if being a part of Camp Sojourner may be an option for you this summer. Once we receive your application, we will call you to set up an interview.

15-17 year old girls, we will be launching a new teen summer program this year. We expect to have applications for this program available by February 15, 2012.

16-18 year old girls, you can apply to work with us as Junior Counselors during Camp Sojourner 2012.  Download our Junior Counselor Application here and then email or mail it back to us at the address provided on the application.

Volunteers/Staff

If you love young people, are committed to giving girls the opportunity to take leadership, and work well as part of a team, please consider joining us!  We will have year-round volunteer opportunities this year to mentor girls, and also to help with behind-the-scenes tasks.  Please be in touch if you are interested in volunteering.  To be part of the Camp Sojourner 2012 Staff team, please download the Staff 2012 Application  and email completed application materials to us at info@girlsleadershipcamp.org.  You can also feel free to call us with any questions.

Support camp with a donation

Support from individuals, foundations, and other organizations is what makes it possible for us to provide an affordable camp experience and leadership development for Philadelphia area girls. We charge families significantly less than what it actually costs us to provide a high quality program. Anything you can contribute will help us to make our program available to more girls.

We accept cash, checks, credit cards, supplies, equipment, and other in-kind donations. All donations are tax deductible. Contact us if you have something you think we may be able to use, such as office supplies, camping equipment, or art supplies. See below for our “Donations Wish List” .

You can donate online through PayPal:
